Erase an area by using a simple shape

  1. On the workspace or in the object list, select the object that contains the area you want.

  2. On the Cut & Crop menu, click Cut Out.

  3. At the top of the workpane, click By Shape.

  4. In the gallery, click a shape.

  5. To resize and reposition the shape, drag the resize handles and the rotate handle.

  6. To soften the edges of the outline, move the Edge slider towards Soft.

  7. Select any other options you want.

    For Help on an option, press SHIFT+F1, and then click the option.

  8. On the Cut Out toolbar, click Finish.
